what we offer

Whether it’s a one-off setup, a defined project, or ongoing support, the focus is the same. Your accounting systems should be seamless, reliable and aligned with how your business actually operates.

There is no obligation to commit to ongoing services if you do not need them.

With experience in implementation and project coordination, I take a structured, methodical approach. That means identifying the root causes of workflow bottlenecks and applying lean and Six Sigma principles so the solutions put in place hold.

  • Accurate bookkeeping is the foundation. Every transaction recorded properly. Every figure traceable.

Bookkeeping covers recording transactions up to trial balance, without adjustments for statutory accounts. This includes:

    • Bank reconciliations and cash transaction tracking

    • Maintaining clear, up-to-date records of income and expenses

    • Preparing financial summaries and quarterly updates in Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliant software

    • Creating and processing sales invoices and supplier bills, from quote through to payment

    • Monitoring credit control and following up outstanding invoices without damaging client relationships

This is not just data entry. It is about building reliable records that integrate cleanly into your existing systems, so reporting is straightforward and compliance is not a last-minute concern.

You can choose one service, multiple services, or the full scope. Support is tailored to what genuinely makes your day-to-day easier.

  • For sole traders and partnerships, I prepare clear financial accounts that summarise performance and position without unnecessary complexity. This service includes:

    • Summarising income and expenses to show profit or loss clearly

    • Producing simple balance statements to support business decisions

    • Highlighting trends and key insights to support planning and cash flow management

    • Preparing monthly, quarterly, or annual reports in formats compatible with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements

Please note: I provide bookkeeping support for limited companies too, but I am not licensed to prepare statutory accounts required for filing with Companies House.

  • VAT returns prepared and submitted accurately and on time. Using Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliant software, I maintain clear VAT records and calculate the VAT due to be paid or reclaimed from HMRC.

Support also includes guidance on the correct VAT treatment of sales and purchases, so your figures are consistent and defensible.

  • Payroll managed accurately and on schedule, using HMRC-compliant software and real-time reporting. Service includes:

    • Calculating wages, PAYE and National Insurance

    • Preparing and issuing employee payslips

    • Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC

    • Maintaining payroll records and reports

    • Managing starters, leavers and statutory pay elements where required

  • If you want help to use your accounting software properly, without outsourcing everything, this is where structured implementation matters.

As a Xero Professional (Level 2) certified advisor and QuickBooks (Level 2) ProAdvisor, I can:

    • Tailor Xero or QuickBooks to your workflow and reporting needs

    • Implement automation and integration to reduce manual errors

    • Train you and your team, with bespoke materials where needed

    • Review existing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

The aim is simple. Systems that support the business, not systems that compete with it.
