our pricing structure

All services are billed at a flat rate of £30 per hour.

This includes:

  • bookkeeping

  • payroll (subject to a minimum charge of 30 minutes per pay run)

  • VAT returns

  • systems set-up

  • larger catch-up projects.

Software subscriptions or digital tools required for your business, such as Xero, QuickBooks, Dext or Apron, are charged separately at cost.

You only pay for the time actually worked. Every hour is tracked and transparent. A detailed breakdown is always available.

Time limits and caps can be agreed in advance. You will be informed when work approaches an agreed number of hours.

One-off projects and ongoing support are treated exactly the same. There are no long-term contracts or commitments.

This structure keeps pricing fair, flexible and predictable, particularly for growing businesses whose needs change over time.

why hourly pricing could make sense for you and your business

Many small businesses default to using their accountant for everything. Bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, systems, administration, statutory reporting. It feels simpler to have one provider handling it all.

Accountants are essential for statutory accounts and complex tax work. Expertise matters. However, not all financial tasks require that level of specialist oversight.

It is a bit like stopping at a petrol station for fuel and doing your weekly food shop there as well. You can do that. It is convenient. But you are paying for that convenience.

Bookkeeping, payroll processing, VAT returns and accounting system set-up can be carried out by a licensed bookkeeper. At £30 per hour, the cost is often significantly lower than accountancy rates for the same operational work, without compromising accuracy, compliance or quality.

You decide what sits where. For some clients, a bookkeeper is brought in for defined projects or ongoing operational support. The level of support is shaped by your business, not a bundle or a package.
